From the mouth of Ian.....

I did it. The bathroom is done. I have yet to decide what my spring cleaning chore is for the day. Maybe Hannah and Ian's room. That would be a good one. A good, tortuous, time consuming mess.

This little laundry sign hangs in my bathroom. I've often though I should turn the sign around so the arrow is pointing down to the ground. Maybe underneath stick the word "hell".

Yesterday while I was scrubbing away in the bathroom these 3 beautiful conversations happened.

Ian: Mom, can I take a dump in the toilet?
Me: What did you say? Who taught you how to say that?
Ian: You did, Mom.
Me: (muttering under my breath) Heaven help me now. (Followed by a long pause while I thought) You have GOT to be kidding me. Boy! Go ahead. And don't say that any more.

Ian: Olivia, your hair looks horrible.
Me: Ian, don't say rude things to your sister. What do you know about hair anyway?
Ian: Moooommmmmmmm. Her hair is all straggly and stringy.

Ian: Wow, Mom. You are really scrubbing hard. Are you doing to scrub that floor too?
Me: Well... yes, I am.
Ian: Wow, Mom. That's going to be the cleanest that bathroom has ever been.

Mind you, Ian didn't help clean one tiny bit. Who's the sucker now?

What is in Misty's Pan? Prepare to be amazed:

Ladies, I admit it. It IS PURE laziness on my part to not take the cookies down and throw them away. It's been an eye-sore that's bugged me for months. Every time I look at them, I think to myself "Gosh, I really should throw those out.". But did I? NOPE. After I took that video clip, I stuck them right back up there on the cabinet. Talk about taking action.

HA! did you stick the cookies up there so that the kids would stop sneaking them?

There has to be a good story behind that!

And I laughed out loud when you said you would use them as weapons!

The bathroom looks great. I need some of your ambition :-)

Well, I was only off by a couple months. And don't feel bad, it's totally happened at my house too. :)

Yummy! Ü

Your bathroom looks fabulous. I love the yellow and the polka dots. So cute and happy and clean. You did a great job.

We have a little rule at our house. The person who eats the last piece of pie, cake, etc, cleans the pan. Needless to say that last piece can sit there for weeks. We have the lazy bug too!!!

MISTY -- Cookies. Like real, cookies? Holy Moly?! We would have so many ants crawling all over our world if we did that here. Now go RIGHT.NOW. Throw those things away!

(Or save them for a Christmas gift for your parents for next year...)

OMG that is so hilarious about the cookies!

I don't know what's worse, the fact that the cookies were up on the counter since christmas eve or the fact that you put them back after you took the picture!

Please send some of your spring cleaning energy my way would you...I need it badly!

I applaude all the work you have done - yes it should inspire me, does it? Nope not really. I should have "spring" cleaned my house about 15 years ago, still trying to get the motivation - we have a matchbox house with 5 people and SO MUCH STUFF!!!!!!!!!
Well done gorgeous!!! As for the cookies - laughed my ass off!@!@

P.s. I just looked at your bathroom photo again - amazing, you know what the biggest problem in our place is (apart from only having one bathroom and the toilet is in the bathroom), Hair products, makeup and PADS!!! There are three of us who use them when we have our period, and I find THOUSANDS of the plastic covers and the little pieces of plastic you pull off the adhesive bits ALL OVER THE BATHROOM - I keep telling the girls the plastic covering is like an envelope and you use that to put the used one in and then put the little tabs in there too and throw the whole lot in the bin. Well the bin is about two steps from the toilet and the little plastic thingys are always EVERYWHERE - Something for those of you with girls to look forward too!!!

Ok, so I was partially right! It was cookies. Hmmmm... I remember laundry hell . . . and then the kids grew up and left home. I miss laundry hell . . .
