Isaac Brigham Nielson

Isaac Brigham Nielson. Perfect in every way....

Mommy, Daddy, and Isaac.

Perfect feet...

Loving my boy....

Holding Isaac after my surgery. Enjoying more minutes with my perfect boy....

Daddy holding Isaac. Ian meeting his brother for the first time, having to grow up too quickly.

Meet my perfect boy. Words cannot express how much we love and, and how our hearts now ache for him. I am exhausted from my surgery, but am thrilled to be home. We have so much to share with you, and plan too... a little bit at a time, as I have energy.... Starting with: Isaac lived for 70 minutes, a perfect gift from our Father above.

how AWESOME God's gift of those 70 minutes is!

i can't begin to tell you how much God has been laying you on my heart. not a single hour went by that day that i wasn't praying for you, your family, and your new baby boy. i did pray for a miracle...

...but i also prayed that if God was going to take Isaac Home that same day, that He would allow you to share some time with him first - alive.

so thankful to know that he did in fact live. and although it's not what we wanted, i hope you can take some comfort in knowing that he STILL LIVES, where no pain or disease can EVER touch him again... EVER. NO MATTER WHAT.

praying for you & your family as you grieve your loss and get through the things you must do now... if there's anything i can do, please email me.

I've been following your story and Isaacs for weeks now and have wanted to post something that might bring you great comfort. At this point, I have no idea what what that would be. So, I will say that our Heavenly Father knows you so well that he knew that you would be just the people who would take those 70 minutes and make them last a lifetime. And that in the grand scheme of things, Isaac will only be away from you for but a small moment.

D&C 121:7-8
"...peace be unto thy soul; thine
adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment;
And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high..."

Find comfort in knowing that what matters are thhings eternal...you and yours are in my daily thoughts and I will pray for comfort for you all.

I can't begin to tell you how your story, and the birth and life of your beautiful Issac, has touched me. You are an amazing woman, with an amazing family. Even though Issac only had 70 minutes in your loving arms, he will forever be a part of that amazing family.

My thoughts, and a piece of my heart, are with you and your family. Your strength, faith and love are an inspiration to me. I'm so thankful Mandy posted a link to your blog.

I've just found your blog through Kami's.

I'm so very, very sorry for your loss. No mother should have to bury her baby.

I've uttered many of the same prayers that you have. Shed the same tears. Been thankful for the chance to look my baby in the eyes and tell him how very loved he is... and wondered why we couldn't have been given hours instead of minutes.

Know that as much as you may have tried to "prepare" yourself for this journey, it will be hard. Grief is the price of love.

But we grieve with hope.

Know also that many are praying.

Much love,
Amy

(P.S. Have you heard the Chris Tomlin song "I Will Rise"? It's sad and lovely and hope-filled and -in situations like this- kind of heartbreaking.)
