Yeah, I'm cool like dat.

Do NOT introduce your 2 year old child to play-doh. Not unless, of course, you are into making lots of these (see above) and cleaning up lots of this (see below).

I'm pooped. A big old stinky pile of pooped. I took the kids to see the 2nd Narnia last night. We went at 10pm, got home at ONE in the MORNING. Loved it. Still tired from it. Don't forget to remind me how my lovely son made the entire theater of move-goers laugh - all at once - in one roar of giggles. The kids had a blast. I had a blast. I'm behind in housework, laundry, and my "real job" - - but what the hell! We only have 2.5 weeks of summer vacation left. It's time to par-tay baby!

I don't love Play-Doh, but my boys sure do. I didn't realize the new Narnia movie was out... I suppose we'll have to add that one to our list!

I have a love/hate relationship with playdough. My kids have gotten past the stage where I have to "help" them create stuff (cool snakes, btw) so I usually pull it out when I have something I need to get done and I need them to entertain themselves for a long period of time. The trade off, of course, is the clean up.

Can't wait to hear why everyone was laughing at the movies!

Happy sleeping! And yup so there with the playdoh, I put it in an almost exact same tub and hid it in the closet, mean mama.

I loved play doh as a child. I can still smell it's lovely smell. Ohh, I had so much fun with it creating everything under the sun and then some! Don't you think the coolest job in the world would be to be one of those people on shows like Wallace and Gromit and get paid to play with play dough! oh wow... that would be so much fun! Enjoy the last of your summer holidays!

Babies Don't Keep

Mother, oh Mother, come shake out your cloth,

empty the dustpan, dispose of the moth,

hang out the washing and butter the bread,

sew on a button and make up a bed.

Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?

She's up in the nursey, blissfully rocking.

Oh, I've grown shiftless, as Little Boy Blue,

(lullaby, rockaby, lullaby, loo).

Dishes are waiting, and bills are past-due

(Pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peek-a-boo).

The shopping's not done, and there's nothing for stew,

and out in the yard there's a hullabaloo.

But I'm playing Kanga, and this is my Roo.

Look! Aren't her eyes the most wonderful hue?

(Lullaby, rockaby, lullaby, loo).

The cleaning and scrubbing will wait 'till tomorrow,

for children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.

So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust, go to sleep.

I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep.

Your snakes are too cute!
And the mess so familiar, I must remember to make snakes next time!

I love playdoh! But the mess, yes, it is no fun :-)

ACK! Summer is so short when it starts early, we still have 4 weeks left, thank goodness.

Enjoy every day Misty, your kids will thank you for it!

I'm a party-pooper. I have banned play-doh from our house. We'll bring it to restaurants, or on an airplane. But I just hate picking up those tiny little crumbs of Doh.
